Kainchi Dham is famous as an important pilgrimage site and spiritual center associated with the mystic Hindu saint Neem Karoli Baba, known for his teachings of love, service, and devotion. It’s renowned for its serene natural setting, with lush green mountains and the Kosi River, offering a peaceful environment for meditation and spiritual seekers worldwide. The ashram features a Hanuman temple, and its name comes from the “scissors” (kainchi) shape formed by the two hairpin bends of the mountain road leading to it. Additionally, celebrities like Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Virat Kohli and many more celebrities have visited his ashrams, bringing him global recognition and adding to his legendary status as a contemporary spiritual figure.

Snow View (2270 Mtrs.): Famous for scenic view of wide range of Himalayas. Situated about 2 Kms. From town, can be reached by foot or Rope Way.

High Altitude Zoo (2075 Mtrs.) :  At a distance of1.5 Kms. From the bus station. Various animal including Siberian tiger, birds etc found in the high altitude can be watched.

Hanumangarh Temple (1951 Mtrs.):  Famousfor viewing sun rise and sun set and darshan of God Hanuman. (Hanumangarhi is situated at a distance of 2.5 Kms. From the bus station)

Astronomical Observatory (1951 Mtrs.) : World famous research station of astronomical observations is open to visitors. It is 10 Kms from the bus station.

Cave Gardern: Worth visiting place to have the first hand experience of natural caves. Can be reached by foot also hardly half Kms. From the main market.

Bara Patthar: About 2 Kms from town, the place is famous for rock climbing and mountaineering. One can have the short duration training at this place, conducted by Naini Tal Mountaineering Club,  NainiTal. This is the place where from horses can be hired.

Lands End (2118 Mtrs.) : Famous for magnificient view of Khurpatal Lake and terraced field of the hill side of Nainital. Can be reached on foot or by horse.

Khurpatal : A nearby village about 5 Kms. Away from main market of Nainital town. One can enjoy the small lake having shape of horse feet and a water fall nearby the village is another attraction.

Himalayan Darshan/ Naini View Point : On way to Naira Peak, one can have the glimpse of green forest and Himalayan peaks and view of Nainital Lake.

Naina Peak (2610 Mtrs.) : Situted 5.5 Kms. Away from the town the heighest  peak of the town, one can have wide view of Himalayas on clear day. One can also have the bird eye view of the whole town of Nainital – a magnificent view.

Bhowali (1706 Mtrs.):    A small town famous  for fruit market of Kumaon, is hardly 11 Kms. away from Nainital Bus station.

Sat- Tal : Cluster of Seven (Sat) lakes (Tal) is full of its greenery and crystal like water.

Bhimtal:  Again 11 Kms away from Bhowali this small town has a beautiful  lake surrounded with peaks. It  is said Bhim had created this lake. The nearest  railway station of Nainital i.e. Kathgodam is hardly 25 Kms. away from this place.

Naukuchiatal :  The place 4 Kms. away from Bhimtal and is famous for its crystal like water having nine corners. One can enjoy the boating in the lake.

Ramgarh (1789 Mtrs.) : A picturesque  hamlet in the heart of orchard land. Famous poet Rabindra Nath Tagore and Hindi poetess Mahadevi  Verma also  lived here for some time . The place is about 24 Kms. away from Nainital Town.

Mukteshwar (2286 Mtrs.) :Place of awaesome beauty and calm serenity of wide range of Himalayas and famous ancient temple of lord Shiva (Mukteshwar).

Ranikhet (1829 Mtrs. ): Queens of Hills Ranikhet (60 Kms. away from Nainital) is famous for Reginental Centre of Kumaon  Regiment, Chaubatiya  Fruit Garden, panoramic view of Himalayas, Golf Field and green forest are other attraction of the town.

Kausani (1890 Mtrs.): The place, famous for sun rise and sun set is about 120 Kms. from Nainital one can have about 300 Kms. Panoramic view of Himalayas. Mahatma Gandhi had described the place as “Switzerland of India”
